Apple’s next Special Event takes place in Cupertino, California tomorrow (12th) at 6pm UK time. Apple tend to use their Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June to unveil software updates and the September keynote event for iPhone, and we expect this year to be no different.
What to expect
It’s widely expected we’ll see three new phones, an iPhone XS, a plus version known as the iPhone XS Max with Apple’s largest screen to date, and a slightly cheaper variant called the iPhone XR or XC.
We also expect to see an updated iPad and Apple Watch and confirmation of a final launch date for iOS 12, unveiled at the WWDC back in June.
Pre-orders should begin at the end of this week with the official launch date likely to be Friday 21 or 28 September (Apple typically launches new iPhones on a Friday).
